patient care and safety for a variety of adult and pediatric patients, and clinical care areas.

This pump can be programmed with a pump protocol configuration consisting of a therapy, qualifier, and
drug. The pump can deliver medication via patient controlled analgesia (PCA), continuous, intermittent,
variable stepped rate, and tapered infusions.
This manual is intended for use by clinicians and system administrators only. Do not permit patients
to have access to it. The pump has three security levels designed to limit overall access to certain pump
features. Only disclose the pump’s security codes to those who are authorized. Access to the pump key
should also be restricted.
The issue date of this Operator’s Manual is included on the back cover. In the event one year has elapsed
between the issue date and product use, contact Smiths Medical to see if an updated version of this manual
is available.
