Step Delivery Mode

Step Down

This option allows you to reduce the rate of infusion at any time. You cannot step down lower than the

initial rate. Once the step down task has been performed successfully, the automatic step increases after

each step duration are cancelled. Delivery continues at the step down (hold) rate. The step up task can be

used to restart the automatic step increases.

To step down from the current rate:

1. In the Advanced Tasks menu, press

to highlight

Step Down

and press

2. The pump displays a screen that tells you the current rate, and asks you

if you want to step down to the previous step rate. Select

Yes.
