capabilities
This command advertises the port capabilities of a given interface during
autonegotiation. Use the
no
form with parameters to remove an advertised
capability, or the
no
form without parameters to restore the default values.

• 100BASE-TX: 10half, 10full, 100half, 100full
• 1000BASE-T: 10half, 10full, 100half, 100full, 1000full
• SFP: 1000full

Command Usage
When auto-negotiation is enabled with the
negotiation
command, the switch
will negotiate the best settings for a link based on the
capabilites
command.
When auto-negotiation is disabled, you must manually specify the link
attributes with the
speed-duplex
and
flowcontrol
commands.
Example
The following example configures Ethernet port 25 capabilities to 100half, 100full
and flow control.
Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/25
Console(config-if)#capabilities 100half
Console(config-if)#capabilities 100full
Console(config-if)#capabilities flowcontrol
