Sample gas outlet
WARNING
Release of dangerous gases
Toxic and corrosive gases, as well as gases which can result in explosive mixtures with air,
must be discharged such that persons or equipment cannot be damaged nor the
environment burdened.
Connect the sample gas outlet (connection
②
, Fig. Gas connections (Page 26)) to a suitable
collection point (e.g. exhaust duct or line). The following points must be observed:
●
The sample gas must not enter the inside of the enclosure.
●
The sample gas outlet must not be restricted, i.e. the flow resistance in the exhaust line
must be kept as small as possible by using a short line or by connection to one with a
larger diameter.
●
The sample gas must be able to flow freely, a significant counterpressure must not be
produced.
●
No high pressure variations may occur. If this cannot be guaranteed, a separate exhaust
line must be provided.
●
Regulation valves for setting the volume flow may only be installed upstream of the
sample gas inlet.
4.4.4
Calibration gases
The calibration gases must be appropriate to the task. The zero gas should not result in a
deflection, and the calibration gas should be close to the full-scale value.
With regard to the quality of the gases and the inlet and outlet, the same applies as
described in the sections on the sample gas inlet and outlet.
