[Separation] type
There are four [Separation] types.
Refer to the flowchart below to select the most appro-
priate type.

By using [Color editor], you can perform separation not
only for paper originals but also for original data that is
saved in [Storage] or [USB Job List] of this machine.
In addition, you can perform separation with the printer
driver for original data that was created on a computer. For
more information, see the “Printer Driver User’s Guide”
(DVD-ROM).
[Color Separation] - [Text Color Sep-
aration]
Select this option for originals that do not contain pho-
tos.
You can specify the colors that are included in the
original and perform separation.
You can select from five methods of separation (such
as [Red Separation]) based on the characteristics of
the colors (hue and vividness) that are used in the
original.
