4.2.1.6.1 True North
The True North feature in the Tools drop down menu aligns the
HyperTrack™
with the Azimuth Axis True 0°
pointing position. This provides the user with three methods of aligning the system to 0° North. Each method
involves a series of steps the user can follow to align the Azimuth axis. The three alignment methods are provided
with built-in Wizard to assist the user in configuring each alignment method, and are nearly identical.

In the True North Wizard, Introduction screen, select the Next button.

The True North Wizard, Select Method screen, shown in Figure 57, is used to select the desired option for
aligning the antenna: Sun, Boresight, or Landmark. Each method of alignment uses the same setup and
Wizard. The most common is the Sun method, which is described in this manual.
The sun calibration method is selected by selecting the Sun parameter in the True North Wizard, as shown
in Figure 57. Then, select the Next button to continue.
