4.2.1.5.3.2 Date and Time
The Hardware - Date & Time window, shown in Figure 47, provides access to the current system date and time
protocol information. The up/down arrows allows for the manual entry of the date and time information, if desired.
Select the Set Date & Time button to save any changes.
In addition, a PTP 1588 time server can be employed to provide the IRIG B time data, if available. The PTP domain
number can be changed, using the up/down arrows, to match the available PTP device to receive time data. The
system always selects the best available server. Select the Set PTP Domain button to save any changes.
If an NTP time server is available, the Network Time Protocol information can be obtained by adding the time
server
’
s IP address to the NTP servers list. Multiple servers can be added, with the system automatically selecting
the best choice server. The default servers shown in the NTP list are Internet Time Protocol Servers and can be
removed if desired. Use the Add NTP Server button to add a server to the list, or the Delete NTP Server button to
delete a server from the list.
The parameters in this window are available to all users with the Standard Login.
