4.2.3.4.2.5 Manual
When an axis is placed in Manual mode, the button illuminates green indicating that the axis is ready for manual
input commands, as shown in Figure 115 (chain-link button selects both axes at the same time).

Each axis is independent from each other. The EL axis can be in Standby while the AZ axis is in Manual, for
example.
The system designates are accessed by selecting the Gear button to the right of the Manual buttons. This opens the
Designates window which allows the user to select pre-saved pointing locations, such as the antenna stow position
and the sun tracking/pointing location. In addition to the pre-saved designate pointing locations, Immediate
Designate pointing may be used. Refer to section 4.2.1.5.2.4 for details about Immediate Designates.
