c Hold the sheets tightly with your left hand, and bend them as
illustrated.
d Grip the sheets tightly with your right hand, loosen the grip of
your left hand, and then straighten the sheets as illustrated.
e Repeat steps b-d for the entire document.
8 Move the paper feed guides on the ADF so that they are
approximately 0.25"/5 mm wider than the document.
9 Place the document to be copied face down in the input
paper chute, putting the ends of the bottom 2 or 3 sheets
into the automatic feeder.
10 Slide the stack forward until it rests against the ADF sensor.
The sensor is a small plastic arm inside the ADF.
11 Close the paper guides until they touch the sides of the
paper stack.
» Note: Skewing may occur if a gap exists between the guides and
the document.
