For all QMS 2060 models, you need to set the Administration/Mem-
ory/Manual Config/K Mem Disk Cache client to 20 KB after installing
the font SIMM and also after performing an Administration/Memory/
Quick Config.

Caution: You may need to decrease one of the other memory clients
before increasing the Disk Cache client. This option should be used
only by individuals who are familiar with adjusting memory settings.
Incorrect use of this option could cause your system to operate
incorrectly.

Caution: It's very important to protect the printer controller board and
other circuit boards, such as other SIMMs and the 1200x1200 dpi
Multi-Res daughterboard, from electrostatic damage while performing
this task. Review the anti-static guidelines in chapter 2, the
“Removing the Controller Board” section of this manual.
Handle the SIMM carefully and preferably by the edges only.
1 Access the printer controller board
Use the instructions in the “Removing the Controller Board” sec-
tion, of chapter 2, “Memory and Software.”
2 Position the controller board so the interface panel is facing
you.
3 Remove the SIMM from the anti-static bag.
