Insert the metal plate over the pins at the other end of the
lamp.

Screw the knurled thumbscrew back into place.

Lift the rear side of the document cover again.

Place the plastic plate vertically over the lamp unit, and use
the screw you removed earlier to fasten the plastic plate.

Replace the document cover.

Plug the scanner in and turn the power on.
