10 Insert the Copy key into the security port at the rear of the 

printer, on the side with the interface ports. 

You can’t access the CrownCopy menu unless the Copy key is 
inserted. It can be inserted with the printer power either on or off.

11 Turn on the scanner, wait 5 seconds, and then turn on the 

printer.

When the Power and Ready LEDs light, the scanner is ready to use.
