Remove the packing materials that protect the optional feeder during
shipment as follows:
1 Take the feeder from the shipping carton and place it on a
flat surface.
2 Remove any tape and packing material from the feeder.
3 Save the packing material in case you ever have to move or
ship the feeder to a new location.

Caution : Turn off the printer before installing the optional feeder.
Install the optional feeder as follows:
1 Turn the printer off, disconnect the power cord, and all
printer interface cables.
» Note:
If you don’t turn the printer off before installing the optional
feeder, the printer will not recognize the optional feeder until you
do.
2 Place the optional feeder in the location where you want the
printer.
