4. Specify a value for “Character spacing [mm]” or “Character string width [mm]”.
The available setting names change depending on your selection for “Character spacing
type”.
• For “Fixed spacing” and proportional settings (“Proportional 1”, “Proportional 2”,
“Proportional 3”), input the desired value under “Character spacing [mm]”.
• For “Justify”, input the desired value under “Character string width [mm]”.
5. If you select “Proportional 1”, specify the width of a blank character under “Space width
[mm]”.

9.11 Set the character spacing of a character object along an arc
There are two different options to specify the character spacing for arc aligned character
objects. You can specify whether the character spacing is defined by angle or by length.
• If “Arc outside, char. spacing by angle” or “Arc inside, char. spacing by angle” is set for
“Character arrangement”, select a character spacing type and set an angle value.
• If “Arc outside, char. spacing by length” or “Arc inside, char. spacing by length” is set for
“Character arrangement”, select a character spacing type and set a length value.
