27 Troubleshooting
Cause:
The USB driver is not installed properly.
Remedy:
Install the USB driver for every laser marking system you wish to
connect. For details, refer to the “Laser Marker NAVI smart Operation
Manual”.
Online connection is disconnected
Cause:
The PC is in sleep mode or in hibernate mode.
Remedy:
Deactivate the sleep mode settings of the PC to prevent a disconnection.
Cause:
A CPU-intensive application caused the disconnection.
Remedy:
Terminate the CPU-intensive application to maintain the online
connection.
Ethernet connection cannot be established
Cause:
The Ethernet settings are incorrect.
Remedy:
Establish a USB connection, and enter the correct settings in the
“System settings”. Then, restart the laser marking system.
Cause:
Ethernet connections are not included in the search settings.
Remedy:
In the “Connection” dialog, activate the “Including Ethernet connections”
check box.
Cause:
The LAN cable is connected to the wrong port (EtherNet/IP or
PROFINET).
Remedy:
Connect the cable to the port marked “LAN” on the rear of the controller.
