4 Online connection between PC and laser marking system
3. On the “Startup” screen, select “Online” to open the “Connection” dialog.
4. Check that a Bluetooth connection appears in the list.
If a Bluetooth enabled laser marking system is not listed, check the environment for
obstacles or verify that the operation range corresponds to the specifications.
5. Select “Connect” to establish the connection.
When the online connection is established, a dialog opens and shows a list of all
marking files saved on the laser marking system.
Do not turn off the power supply during an online connection with your PC. Otherwise a data loss or
system failure may occur.
Note
• It cannot be guaranteed, that every Bluetooth enabled device can connect with the laser
marking system.
• Bluetooth usage may be restricted depending on the ambient situation or environment.
Check with the building administrator if Bluetooth is allowed.
• Do not use the Bluetooth function of this product when wireless LAN or any other wireless
device is used around, in places where there are many obstacles or in an environment
where radio wave signals are weak. Otherwise, the communication speed may decrease,
or a communication error or disconnection may occur.
• Although the maximum operation range is 5m, an obstacle between the devices or the
ambient environment or the building structure may shorten the operation range.
• The online connection between the laser marking system and the PC is disabled when
the PC goes into sleep mode. When the laser marking system is in remote or RUN mode,
the operation mode (remote or RUN mode) is maintained, but the online connection is
disabled. Deactivate the sleep mode setting of the PC to prevent a disconnection.
• One PC can be connected with multiple laser marking systems. However, you can only
establish one online connection at a time. The laser marking system which is connected
is displayed in the “Connection” dialog together with the online mode icon. To configure
and to control more than one laser marking system, you must switch the connected
device in the software.
• If your version of Laser Marker NAVI smart does not support the connected laser marker
model, some functions and operations cannot be set or executed online.
