• Select a category from the “Setting category” list box.
On-the-fly marking cannot be selected from the list box. The parameters for on-the-
fly marking cannot be changed with the “Restricted user” profile.
• Depending on the category, the available parameters are displayed in the
“Permissions” column.
• Select the check box in the “Restricted user” column, to add the permission for
editing the parameter on the “Marking settings” screen.
• To remove the permission, deselect the check box.
Customize the “Monitor” screen:
• If you select a check box in the “Monitor” column, the selected parameter is
displayed on the “Monitor” screen.
• Deselect the check box if you do not want to show the parameter on the “Monitor”
screen.
In the “Editable range for restricted user” table, set a range for parameters that can be
edited with the “Restricted user” profile:
• You can specify a range for some parameters. Only the specified range can be
edited with the “Restricted user” profile.
• You can set a range for the following parameters:
“Marking object”, “Counter (global)”, “Counter”, “Expiry time (global)”, “Expiry time”,
“Lot (global)”, “Lot”
• Double-click on the cell and enter values in the “Start value” and “End value”
columns.
“Display/edit range of reference character” table:
• The table has two rows.
‒ “For all files”: The reference character string numbers are available in all files.
‒ “Current file”: The reference character string numbers are only available in the
current file.
• In the “Restricted user” column, define a range or specific reference character string
numbers that can be edited with the “Restricted user” profile.
• In the “Monitor” column, enter a range or specific reference string numbers that are
displayed on the “Monitor” screen.
• Double-click on the cells to enter values.
• Use “-” to indicate a range, e.g. 1-50.
• You can enter more than one range or string number. Use “,” or “;” as separator
between them, e.g. “1-50,60;100”. This setting means, that the string No. from 1 to
50, No. 60 and No. 100 can be edited or are displayed.
Delete settings:
• If you want to delete all your settings, select “Clear all”.
5. Select “OK” to close the dialog.
6. Select “Apply to laser marking system” in the ribbon to save the settings.
The new settings will be updated in the laser marking system.
