27 Troubleshooting
Cause:
When PV230 is used: The settings for total judgement of PV230 are
incorrect.
Remedy:
• For code checking, check the settings for the code reader checker of
PV230.
• For character checking, check the settings for the OCR checker of
PV230.
• Make sure the expression of the numeric calculation in the total
judgement is correct.
Cause:
When PV230 is used: No settings were made in the character dictionary
of PV230.
Remedy:
To use the character recognition function, set the dictionary of PV230 for
each marking character beforehand.
Cause:
An image of fumes (smoke) in the field of view was taken.
Remedy:
Install a dust collector to eliminate fumes (smoke) generated during the
marking and make sure the dust is properly collected.
Marking result is uneven, characters are deformed
Cause:
When TIMING IN (No. 24) on the I/O connector is used, the starting and/
or stopping of the workpiece feeder does not match the marking process.
Remedy:
• At the beginning of the marking process, make sure the timing input
TIMING IN (No. 24) turns ON only after the workpiece has completely
stopped.
• At the end of the marking process, make sure workpieces are moved
only after the timing standby output TIMING WAIT OUT (No. 36) has
turned ON.
