Different colors can be set for a lamp’s guide characters when ON and OFF, but
the background color is always transparent.

Numeral Display
The properties settings are the same as those for numeral displays. Refer to

Displaying Multiple Lines of Guide Characters
Multiple lines of guide characters can be specified when fixed character strings
or ON/OFF switching character strings are being used. The number of charac-
ters that can be input depends upon the model of PT being used, as shown in the
following table.

* The 4-character new line codes (<\n>) are included in the number of characters.
The space between guide character lines (number of dots from the bottom of a
line to the top of the next line) is set with the line spacing property. A negative line
spacing can be specified, so that a later line will partially overlap the preceding
line, but there must be at least 8 dots of space between the tops of the two lines.
