PV character will change to match the new settings, and the PT will restart
monitoring. At the same time, the popup input window will be closed.
If the new settings cannot be written, an error message will be displayed in
the lower-left corner of the screen and the buzzer will sound. (This buzzer
sound can be disabled with the PT’s touch switch sound setting.) In this
case, check the status of the PC and specified data area and try changing
the value again. The error message will be cleared when the new settings
are written properly.

Cannot write in RUN mode
Attempted to write to a PC in RUN mode.
Write-protected memory
Attempted to write to a read-only or
write-protected area.
If the Back touch switch is pressed before the Write touch switch, the input
will be cancelled and the PT will restart monitoring with the original PV.

If Device Monitor has been used to force-set or force-reset bit(s) in the displayed
word, a message will appear in the bottom-left corner of the screen indicating that
there are bits in the word with forced status. This message will not appear if the bit
status was forced by operations at the PC.
Use the following procedure to clear the forced status for all of the PC’s bits or
timer/counter Completion Flags that have been force-set or force-reset.

This operation clears the forced status of all bits and Completion Flags in the
PC, whether the status was forced from the Device Monitor function or from a
Programming Device connected to the PC.

Bits and timers/counters will have the following status after the forced status is
cleared:
Bits that were force-set:
0
Bits that were force-reset:
1
Timers/counters that were force-set:
PV reset to 0000
Timers/counters that were force-reset:
PV reset to status before force-reset

1. Press the binary PV table cell in the desired row where a word other than a
timer/counter is being monitored. (Pressing the cell won’t have any effect if a
word or timer/counter isn’t being displayed in the row.)

Monitoring will stop in the row while the popup input window is being dis-
played. Monitoring will continue in the other rows and any changes in those
words will appear on the screen.
