2-5-1 Image Data Display
Image data are images composed of dots. They can be set to any size within the
following range.
NT31/NT31C
NT631/NT631C
Remarks
Width
8 to 320 dots
8 to 640 dots
8-dot units
Height
8 to 240 dots
8 to 480 dots
8-dot units
Image data are created with the image editor of the Support Tool, independently
of screens, and as many as required can be displayed at any position on any
screen. It is also possible to import files in the BMP format of Windows95 and
register them as image data.
There are two ways to display image data. Image data can be displayed by di-
rectly specifying the code number (fixed code) or indirectly specifying the code
number through a numeral memory table (indirect specification).
When the code is specified indirectly, the displayed image can be changed just
by overwriting the code number in the numeral table, in the same way that indi-
rectly specified numeral/character string displays can be changed. If indirect
specification is used, displayed images can be changed with a simple program
that just changes the contents of a numeral memory table and a series of images
can be displayed to generate a moving image.
Registering frequently used and complex images as image data allows them to
be displayed easily whenever required.
When image data is created in the 2 Colors mode, the foreground and back-
ground colors can be specified.
When image data is created in the 8 Colors mode, colors (selected from the
available eight) can be assigned to each dot.
When creating image data, it is possible to specify compression of the data.
However, note that it takes a little longer to display compressed image data than
data that has not been compressed.
Reference:
When the PT is in NT30/620 compatible mode, the image codes and maximum
number of images are the same as the NT30C, NT620S, NT620C, and NT625
PTs. Refer to
Appendix C for details on the NT30/620 compatible mode
(page 441).
