Select Detailed Setting / Other Settings / Communication Setting / UPS Communication
Port to display the parameter COM search to UPS detection .

Set the parameter to Do not search for COM ports to prevent interference for the COM ports.

Select Submit to save the setting.

Select the close button in the right top corner to exit the Power Attendant Lite Utility software.

Select the restart behavior of the IPC with the BIOS Boot Menu parameter Power Loss Con-
trol .
Set this parameter to Turn On to restart automatically after a power down from the Power At-
tendant Lite Utility.

Test the UPS shutdown behavior.
1) Start the IPC
2) Start applications
3) Create a power interruption
4) Monitor the shutdown sequence and confirm a correct shutdown
When the shutdown sequence is not correct change parameters in the Power Attendant
Lite Utility software and test the UPS shutdown behavior again.
The Power Attendant Lite Utility is configured.
The IPC will shut down properly in case of a power supply interruption and restart automatically when
the power is restored.
