Check the Backup and Repair Media
Use the following procedure to check the backup or repair media.
Check the Backup Information on the Rescue Disk
Use the following procedure to check the rescue disk for the system backup.

Use the rescue disk to boot the IPC.
Refer to
Restore a System Backup with the Rescue Disk on page 7-28 for details.
Follow the first few steps of the procedure until following screen appears:

Select Backup Information and then Enter .
Following screen will appear:
Backup created on Fri Dec 1 12:34:56
Model name : NY512-1300
Serial number : 0123
Lot number : 01234N
Content : MBR, Boot, Windows and Machine Control partitions
Unit version : V1.16.00
OSB version : 0000.0016
Comment by user : demo for manual - your content will be different
Current System:

Serial number : 0123
Lot number : 01234N
Unit version : V1.16.00
OSB version : 0000.0016
OK

Check the content. If there is no content then there is no usable backup on this Rescue Disk.

Select Exit .
The rescue disk information is checked.
Check the Custom Backup Storage Device (Windows)
Use the following procedure to check the custom backup storage device.

Insert the storage device with the backup in the IPC Application Controller that created the
backup.

Follow the first few steps of the restore procedure to display the 'Restore files' screen.
Refer to
Restore a Custom Backup with Windows on page 7-34 for details.

Browse the storage device and ensure at least one backup is displayed.

Select Cancel to cancel the restore procedure.
The storage device with the custom backup is approved.
