Chapter 3 Maintenance & Disassembly
3.2.16 Transfer Roller
- Power OFF the printer.
- Detach the AC power cord from the printer.
- Open the stacker cover.
- Using two small screwdrivers, release the latch (1) of the main unit (2),
and lift the transfer gear (3) and transfer roller (4) at position A.
- Pull the transfer roller out and remove it. The bearings (5) and transfer roller
gear are removed along with the roller.
- Note the position of the anti-static strip (6).
NOTES:
- Lubricate the transfer roller gear and the inside of the bearings.
Refer to Section 3.5 ( ) of this Service Handbook for lubrication information.
Re-Installation
- Position bearing 5A in the cutout in the base unit, long side horizontal.
- Insert the transfer roller into the bearing.
- Place the bearing 5B and the transfer roller gear on the shaft of the roller.
The long side of bearing 5B should be horizontal.
- Lower the assembly into place, locking the gear under the claw.
