Chapter 3 Maintenance & Disassembly
3.2.02 Upper Cover Assembly
Disassembly
Perform the procedure listed below first.
- 3.2.01( )
- Release the two thumb screws and remove the PostScript board
OL410e/PS only (1).
- Slide the operator panel (2) in the direction of arrow A, then lift it up to detach
it from the unit.
- Turn the operator panel over.
- Detach the flexible cord (3) from connector CN1 (4) of the contact switch board (5).
- Remove the operator panel.

Use a rubber band to pull the wire clips of the interface connector in. This will prevent
damage to the clips when the cover (6) is removed.
- Press the knobs (7) and raise the face-down stacker assembly (8).
- Remove the two screws (9).
- Open the manual feed guide (10).
- Lift the upper cover at the front and tilt it until the back of the cover is free of the two
rear claws.
- Lift the upper cover (6) straight up, then turn it approximately 45 degrees to clear the
raised stacker cover. Refer to View A.
- Remove the upper cover assembly.
