Chapter 3 Maintenance & Disassembly
3.2.13 Hopping Roller Shaft Assembly
Perform the procedures listed below first.
- 3.2.01( )
- 3.2.02( )
- 3.2.11( )
- 3.2.12( )
- Place the lower base unit (1) as shown.
- Remove the clear plastic square (2).
- Remove the hopping roller gear (3).
- Use a straight slot screwdriver to remove the bearing (4).
- Remove the hopping roller shaft assembly (5).
- Remove the bearing (6).
- Remove the hopping roller rubber (7).
NOTE:
- Lubricate the inside of the bearings (where the bearings contact the hopping roller shaft).
- Lubricate the hopping roller shaft at point A.
Refer to Section 3.5 of this Service Handbook for lubrication information.
- Clean the hopping roller.
Refer to Section 3.4 of this Service Handbook for cleaning information.
- The hopping roller gear is used in two places. The gear is used with the hopping roller.
It is also used on the registration roller.
