Resetting FOMA terminal to the Default Settings
The registered data is deleted and the default settings for each function are restored.
●
Pre-installed data is not erased. Even if pre-installed i-
α
ppli software or Chara-den is deleted, it is restored when the
terminal is reset.
● See “Resetting the Function Settings” (P. 453) for the setting to restore the default settings.

The functions that are subject to “Reset settings” and the following functions return to the default settings.

Group names and folder names edited by you are restored to the default settings.
● Protected data is also deleted.
●
Check the battery is fully charged before initialization. Initialization may not be possible if the battery is low on charge.
● Do not turn the power off while initialization is performed.
●
While initialization is performed, other functions cannot be used. A voice call and a video-phone call cannot be received.

Initialization may take a few moments.
After the completion of initialization, the FOMA terminal automatically restarts.
■ If initialization is not completed correctly

. This restarts initialization again.
Note
● While other functions are active, initialization cannot be done.
● Data saved, registered or set in the FOMA card (UIM) or miniSD memory card is not deleted.
● The settings for data communication set by PC are not deleted.
● When there is a large amount of data to be deleted, initialization might take a longer time.
