White balance
setting, exposure
compensations, and the help reminders).

To focus, press the shutter release halfway, or press
the
AF-ON
button. In both cases, the mirror will flip
down for a brief moment while autofocus is performed
and the stream of images stopped briefly.

Press the shutter release fully to take a picture (or
pictures if you’ve selected a continuous setting in Step
8).
Using Tripod Live View
To use the contrast detection autofocus version of Live View:
1.
Hold down the Shooting Method Lock button and
rotate the Shooting Method dial to the Live View icon
( ).
2.
Press the
MENU
button on the camera to see the
menu system.
3.
Use the Direction pad to navigate to the SHOOTING
menu (green camera icon) and press the
>
key to enter
the menu.
4.
Use the Direction pad to navigate to
Live view
and
press the
>
key to select it.
