Very similar to what the in-camera processing did, isn’t it?
Remember, the in-camera sharpening is going to pick up on
noise and JPEG artifacts, so is probably best avoided if
possible. I generally want to do noise reduction and get out
of JPEG before running sharpening on my images, and the
amount and type of sharpening will depend upon how the
image is eventually going to be used. Still, if you’re in a
hurry and shooting
JPEG fine
at low ISO values, the in-
camera sharpening is not likely going to get you in trouble.
Sharpening
is set via the
Picture Control Set
option on the
SHOOTING menu (see “Picture Controls” on page <334>).
