Note: The camera’s internal clock does not maintain accurate time
settings, and should be periodically checked to ensure that
the time is accurate. If your computer’s clock is synced to a
network time source, you can update your D300 by using
Camera Date and Time
in Camera Control Pro 2.0 and
pressing the
Use Current Date/Time
button.
Setting Language
The D300 can display menus on the color LCD in fourteen
languages: Chinese (both traditional and simplified), Dutch,
English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean,
Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish. If you’ve
purchased an official import of the D300 (i.e. not a gray
market

model), it should already be set to the appropriate
language.

If you’d like to change the camera’s displayed language:
1.
Press the
MENU
button to show the menu system.
2.
Use the Direction pad to navigate to the SETUP menu
(the wrench icon tab) and press the

key on the
Direction pad to select it.

Gray market products are those that are brought into a country by someone other
than the official importer. Nikon’s warranties only apply to officially imported
cameras. In the US, especially, Nikon is particularly careful to only repair officially
imported cameras.
