System Board Rail Removal
In some models, the system board rails are secured to the system board with
plastic fasteners. In others, the system board rails are secured with screws. The
following sections describe how to remove the system board rails for each case.

Removing System Board Rails Secured with Plastic Fasteners
Remove system board rails that are secured with plastic fasteners by following
these steps.
1.
Turn off the system and disconnect the system power cord.
2.
Ensure that all external cables are disconnected from the front and rear of
the system.
3.
Remove the system board.

4.
Pinch the sides of the fasteners securing the rail so the fasteners can be
pushed down through the system board. It may be necessary to use needle
nose pliers to pinch the fasteners (see the following figure).

5.
Pull the rail away from the system board.
6.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other rail.
