To configure content filtering for the access point:
1.
Select
Network Configuration
->
WAN
->
Content Filtering
from the access point menu
tree.
2.
Configure the
HTTP
field to configure block Web proxies and URL extensions.
Block Outbound HTTP HyperText Transport Protocol (HTTP)
is the protocol used to transfer
information to and from Web sites. HTTP Blocking allows for
blocking of specific HTTP commands going outbound on the
access point
WAN port. HTTP blocks commands on port 80 only.
The Block Outbound HTTP option allows blocking of the following
(user selectable) outgoing HTTP requests:
•
Web Proxy
- Blocks the use of Web proxies by clients
•
ActiveX
- Blocks all outgoing ActiveX requests by clients.
Selecting ActiveX only blocks traffic (scripting language)
with an .ocx extension.
