This fault is declared when the drive
expects to see a signal from the Z
channel of the encoder within a
window but it doesn’t during an Open-
Loop Alignment.
Phasing Problem
– Incremental PM
Swap two encoder leads (e.g. A and
–A)
to establish proper phasing or swap two
motor leads (e.g. U and V)
Encoder Problem
Check encoder coupling: align or replace
Check encoder wiring
Encoder failure (replace encoder and
REALIGN the rotor)
Option board failure (replace option
board).
Z-pulse channel not working correctly
