To be done before spreading

94

Testing the spreading

pattern of ExactLine

When using the ExactLine the aim is to obtain maximum distribution
to the border with minimum loss in the ditch.
This is why the ExactLine has to be tested. Do not perform this test
next to the ditch, rather mark a line behind which the fictive ditch will
be.

Operation

Set the spreader as per the details given in the spreading chart for
the selected working width that most closely matches the fertilizer,
seeds or granules

(height of the spreading disc = 75 cm/29.5 in

above the troughs)

.

Allow the hydraulic valve to run a few seconds to bring the
ExactLine to working condition and to put good pressure in the
accumulator.

Close the taps in the hydraulic hose to prevent the ExactLine from
ending up in a different position by accident.

Switch the tractor off, remove the key from the ignition and engage
the parking brake of the tractor.

Set the ExactLine to the ‘environment settings’ as per the details
given in the spreading chart for the desired working width or based
on the calculation in

paragraph »Boundary track spreading with the ExactLine« on
page 115.

The ExactLine has 2 settings, (1 to 9) the correct setting is indicated
in the spreading chart.
The setting (X - Y) is indicated in the supplied instruction and the (on-
line) spreading tables.
