Capacitive Touchscreen
User Manual H12 / SCAMAX® 8x1 - Version 2019.12
When using a second output hopper, this toggle-key will switch between output
trays.
Glossy documents (i.e. documents with a highly reflective surface across their full
width) may occasionally cause false detection of a
Paper Jam at Paper Input
(
see chap-
ter
). Tapping this key will turn the optical sensors off, for the next document, allowing it to be
processed as usual.
The
Light On
key will turn on the scanner’s LED lighting. The button will change ap-
pearance, once activated: the status bar on the left side of the key will turn green and
the labelling will change from
Light On
to
Light Off
, indicating that the next tap will
turn the LED units off again.
The
Test Scan
key will switch the scanner’s operating mode to test scan mode, allowing
a test of its paper handling and event control systems without any scan software
being attached. In this mode, no images are produced. When activated, the indicator on the
Test Scan
key will turn green and a corresponding message, highlighted yellow, will be shown in the scan screen’s
Status area (
see chapter
).
The
Stop at Input
key controls the
Double Feed Detection
option of the same name
(
see chapter
). A green status bar indicates that this function is turned on (
de-
fault
).
Pressing the
DF Next Off
key before scanning a document which would otherwise
trigger a double feed detection error makes it pass without interruption. This appro-
ach only makes sense if
Error
has been selected as the
Reaction at Detection
, in the settings for
Dou-
ble Feed Detection
(
see chapter
Patch code keys like this one are available for all six of the basic patch code types (
T,
2, 3, 1, 4, 6
) and will emulate the detection of a respective patch code by the scanner’s
internal Patch Decoder (
see chapter
). Whenever one of these keys is pressed during a scan
pause, the next document in line will be interpreted as the desired patch code. Pressing these keys
while scanning is underway will yield unpredictable results, because of the high feeder speeds.
These two toggle-keys will turn imprinters on or off, regardless of the settings made
in their respective configuration screens (
see chapter
). A green status bar
indicates that printing is turned on.
Use this key to manually switch between the currently active output hopper and the
rear output hopper..
Whenever scanning is paused, pressing this key will allow you to change scan speeds
without having to load a different scan profile (
see chapter
) , first.
Tapping the key will open a separate screen with
a list of available speed levels applicable to this
scanner model. The speed levels shown are valid
for scan resolutions of up to 300 dpi.
If scanner counters need to be adjusted during scanning, use this function key to
change them without having to open and modify the scan profile.
