Input Hopper
The scanners of the H12 type are equipped with a Single
Input Hopper with a Input Tray or, optionally, with a Dual
Input Hopper with two Input Trays.
Each Input Tray can accommodate documents with a
stack height of up to 10 cm
(equivalent to approx. 1,000
sheets of new paper with 80g / m²)
. The filling height
of the Input Trays can be reduced depending on the
profile and percentage
(see chapter
5.4.1.
Input Plate
The input plate is only loosely connected to the input
tray, in order to avoid any danger of pinching or bruising.
Should the input plate move out of its position, due to
inadvertent lifting or by getting caught underneath, a
corresponding error message (
see chapter
will be displayed. In order to correctly return the input
plate to its original position, please first align the input
plate, so that it is flush with the input plate mounting
base and approx. 2 cm away from the front edge. Also,
make sure that the two spigots on the lower side of the input plate align with the notches in the
mounting base. Next, push the input plate to the front, until the two brackets on the underside of
the input plate move under and engage with the front section of the input plate mounting base. In
case of a Dual Input Hopper, the procedure is the same for both input trays.
5.4.2.
Setting Options Paper Input
The Input Hopper has Paper Guides that can be ma-
nually adjusted to the processed document width. The
Paper Guides are guided in opposite directions. This
means that a Paper Guide automatically moves in the
opposite direction when the other Paper Guide is mo-
ved.
In order to process documents also non-centered, a
Paper Guide is pushed to the desired location of the stop
and held firmly while the required paper width is adjus-
ted by shifting the other Paper Guide.
In the Input Tray there is a scale, from which the positions
of the Paper Guides can be read. The information of vari-
ous standard formats facilitates presetting. Furthermore,
the positions of the three ultrasonic sensors for Double
Feed Detection
(see chapter
) and the possible
print positions of the two imprinters are attached. A
similar scale is located in the Output Tray(s)
(see chapter
), so that the Paper Guides can be ad-
justed properly too.
