As soon as any scan-profile has been changed beyond its default settings, a
default
button will appear, in the tool bar. Tapping this key will return
all
settings in this
scan-profile to their default value.
4.6.1.
General
Items on the
General
screen deal with the cur-
rent scan-profile’s access
security and accessibili-
ty settings.
4.6.1.1. Privilege Level
The first of the settings determines whether the
use of this scan-profile requires a privilege level
or not, and if so, which one (
A
,
B
,
C
). More information on privilege levels at the User Management

see chapter
4.6.1.2. Access Function Buttons
This setting enables or disables access to the
Button Bar (
see chapter
) available on the
scan screen. Disabling access will prevent the use of these function keys whenever this scan profile
has been selected. This setting does not apply to the Quick-Access Buttons described below.
4.6.1.3. Quick-Access Buttons
Use these four assignment fields to modify the
Quick Access Buttons in the scan screen’s but-
ton bar. Please note that there is an additional
configuration method available, through the
button bar itself (see chapter
).
The following function keys may be put to use as
Quick Access Buttons
. .
These two controls adjust the scanner’s working height. Tapping and holding one of
these keys will raise or lower the complete scanner assembly through telescopic action
at the device’s base, either until the key is released, or until the scanner’s minimum
or maximum working height has been reached.
Tapping and holding this key will activate the scanner’s paper transport, for as long
as this key is pressed.
Tapping this key will open the scan plane (
see chapter
), up to its first stop.
When using dual input hoppers, this toggle-key will switch between input trays.
