– Check on the test 1 connector pin 24 if DCS2.1
line is at - 5v. Refer to YZ page 234 for test 1
pin assignment.
Is - 5v present on pin 24?
Yes No

Is there a backup power (ACPW or
DCPW) installed on your 3746-900?
Yes No

Go to Step 008.

– Check on the test 1 connector pin 26 if
DCS2.2 line is at - 5v. Refer to YZ page
234 for test 1 pin assignment.
Is - 5v present on pin 26?
Yes No

– Check on the test 1 connector pin 9 if the
PWRONCMD1 line is at + 5v. Refer to YZ
page 234 for test 1 pin assignment.
Is + 5v present on pin 9?

Are the power cables correctly plugged into
the J11 and J12 connectors at the rear of
DCDP?
Yes No

Plug the cables correctly and restart the
operation.

First exchange the DCDP. If the problem persists
exchange the ACPW (basic). Go to “3746-900
Maintenance Using a FRU list” on page 1-28 for
FRU exchange.

– Check on the test 1 connector pin 28 if the
PWRONCMD2 line is at + 5v. Refer to YZ
page 234 for test 1 pin assignment.
Is + 5v present on pin 28?
Yes No

Go to Step 018.

Are the power cables correctly plugged into
the J09 and J10 connectors at the rear of
DCDP?
Yes No

Plug the cables correctly and restart the
operation.

First exchange the DCDP. If the problem persists
exchange the backup power (ACPW or DCPW).
Go to “3746-900 Maintenance Using a FRU list”
on page 1-28 for FRU exchange.

– Check that the cable is correctly plugged into
the J8 connector on SPD1 and into the J7 con-
nector on the DCDP.
