4. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into one of the slots on the metal static

shield and pry the static shield from the drive bay.

Note: To install a 3.5-inch drive into drive bay 2 (a 5.25-inch bay), you

must use a commercially available 3.5-inch to 5.25-inch
conversion kit, such as IBM PN 70G8165. For information on
purchasing the kit, contact your IBM reseller or IBM marketing
representative.

5. Install the drive in the bay. Align the screw holes and insert the two

screws.
