Universal Serial Bus port problems
IBM Diagnostic Programs
Your computer comes with two diagnostic programs:

PC-Doctor for Windows: This diagnostic program is provided on the
Software Selections CD. You must install the program on your hard
disk before you can use it. PC-Doctor for Windows works through the
Windows operating system to diagnose hardware problems and report
operating-system-controlled settings that can cause hardware failures.
For instructions on installing PC-Doctor for Windows, see “Installing
Software problem Action
Software does not work
as expected. To determine if problems are caused by installed
software, verify that:
1. Your computer has the minimum memory
requirements needed to use the software. See the
information supplied with the software to verify
memory requirements.
Note: If you have just installed an adapter or
memory, you might have a memory address
conflict.
2. The software is designed to operate on your
computer.
3. Other software works on your computer.
4. The software you are using works on another
computer.
If you received any error messages while using the
software program, see the information supplied with the
software for a description of the messages and
solutions to the problem.
If you cannot correct the problem, have the computer
serviced.

The Universal Serial Bus
ports cannot be
accessed. Verify that the USB device is properly installed and
firmly seated.
If you cannot correct the problem, have the computer
serviced.
