Replacing the Ribbon

Pull the ribbon cassette toward you to lock it. Then make sure of the fol-
lowing:

Ÿ

The ribbon is set in front of the ribbon shield (thin metallic plate with
holes).

Ÿ

The arrow marks on the left and right are hidden.

Close the scale cover.

8

Pull the platen open lever toward you to close the platen.

9

Close the set cover.

After setting the new ribbon cassette, reset the ribbon life counter

by holding down Entry and pressing Cancel.

You have finished setting and mounting the ribbon cassette.
