2.1.3 Printer Mechanism (Left View)
Line Scale
Adjusts the head line position (first printing line) according to the length of
forms when determining the vertical position of forms. For details, see 2.9.2,
“Adjusting the Vertical Position” on page 2-49.
Form Feed Knob
Used to manually feed forms.
Tractors
A mechanism to feed paper. Pull the tractor lock lever toward you to move
the tractors rightward and leftward.
Tractor Lock Lever
When moving the tractors leftward and rightward to match the form width,
turn this lever toward you to unlock it.
Ribbon Feed Knob
To manually feed the ink ribbon, turn the knob clockwise. Do not turn the
knob counterclockwise.
Ribbon Cassette
Contains the ink ribbon. Use only IBM-recommended ink ribbons. For part
number, see 2.2.1, “Consumables” on page 2-8.
