Inspecting the Platen and Changing Strike Position
3.5.2 Changing Strike Position
The platen strike position can be changed twice.

Make sure the power is off.

Set the platen open lever in the release status or the all release status.
Note: Do not try to change the strike position without putting the platen
open lever in the release status or the all release status. This might
damage the printer.

Turn both platen set bases counterclockwise 60 degrees with a coin. After
the platen drops, the strike position changes. Make a note of the line counter
value.
Note: If this is the second time to change the strike position, turn the platen
set bases 30 degrees. The platen should be changed for the second
time after the counter has increased 100,000 from the first time.

Pull the platen open lever toward you to close the platen.

Close the set cover.
