3.5 Inspecting the Platen and Changing Strike Position
3.5.1 Inspecting the Platen
If print becomes faint at a specific digit or some lines and the value of the line
counter exceeds 100,000, check the platen using the following procedure:

Power off the printer.

Open the set cover.

Set the platen in the all release status.
The platen open lever is set in the release status by pushing it in the direc-
tion of the arrow

. While pushing the lever rightward, push it backward as
shown

Remove the printing forms. (See 2.6, “Unloading and Setting the Printing
