4.2 Connecting to a Host System
The following ports are available for connecting to the host system:

Parallel Port
4.2.1 System Port
The IBM 5400-006 printer is used as a work station under the following host
system:
IBM AS/400
Control program: OS/400 version 1, release 3.0 and above
The IBM 5400-006 printer is connected to the host with a twinax cable. This cable
can be a maximum of 1525 m, including the host system and work station network
and the work station network.
Note: A maximum of seven work stations can be connected with one cable.
A special function of this cable is that even if a work station stops functioning, the
other work stations on the same cable can continue to function.
