Control Codes
56.Horizontal Move: ESX 1C 00 02 n m (X
'
1B 7E 1C 00 02 n m
'
)
Moves the position horizontally in the number of single byte characters
according to current character pitch. In the condensed lower character
mode, the position moves in 18 cpi.
Specify the values of n and m in each byte as follows:
n=00:
Absolute position move from the left margin. Settings that
exceed the right margin are ignored.
n=01:
Relative position move toward the right from the current
position. If the setting exceeds the right margin, the
remaining data is printed on the next line.
n=02 :
relative position move toward the left from the current posi-
tion. If the setting exceeds the left margin, the current
printing position is moved to the left end.
Note: If n is set to values other than 00, 01, or 02, this control is
ignored.
Set the number of characters to move in m.
Note: Movements controlled by this code are not affected by the spec-
ifications of character enlargement or reduction. If the print posi-
tion is moved back to the left from the current print position when
00 is set for n or if print data follows when 02 is set for n,
printing starts. If succeeding data is received on the same line,
it is written over the data already in the print buffer.
57.Vertical Move: ESX 1D 00 02 n m (X
'
1B 7E 1D 00 02 n m
'
)
Prints all the data in the line buffer, and moves vertically one line,
according to the current line pitch.
Specify the values of n and m in each byte as follows:
n=01: Relative move downward from the current position.
Note: If n is set to values other than 01, this control code is
ignored.
Set the number of lines to move in m.
58.Set Character Scaling: ESX 20 00 03 n1 n2 02 (X
'
1B 7E 20 00 03 n 1 n2
02
'
)
Changes the proceeding character size according to the values of n1
and n2.
