After selecting

, the wizard sets up the blade, based on the information entered.

The setup wizard configures the chassis on the HP StoreAll 9730 Storage system. See the HP
StoreAll Storage Network Best Practices Guide for detailed information about chassis
components. (This step fails if the OA IP address has not been set up or if the blade cannot
communicate with the OA.) The Active Virtual Connect is, by default, the Virtual Connect in
interconnect bay 1. If the system is at factory defaults, the administrator passwords for OA
and Virtual Connect are shown on labels affixed to the back of the chassis. If passwords were
reset, enter the new passwords.

IMPORTANT:

If you are using the default flat network layout, select

Onboard Administrator and Virtual Connect Settings

screen, and go to

The wizard validates the information you entered. The following tests are performed during
the validation process:

•

Pings the active OA

•

Verifies the OA password

•

Verifies that OA at that IP address is the active OA

•

Verifies the OA firmware.
