Using Instrument Functions

Saving and Recalling Measurement Results

Special Note for HP 8711 A, HP 87118112811381148 Owners

If you own one of these older model analyzers, there are some compatibility issues You should be

aware of:

l 

The “A” and 

 model analyzers allowed you to save to a   formatted 

 disk. Your “C

model analyzer allows you to read from a   disk, but you cannot save to a   disk.

l 

The file format for the “A” and 

 model analyzers is different from the new 

 model format.

When saving data, you can save it either in a format that is compatible with older analyzers

 

 

I, or in a format that is only compatible with “C” 

 

 

 See “Define and Save Data,” later in this chapter for more

information.
