By INCREASING the TIMEBASE in the Tuning/Control
Menu, you increase the time between weight readings.
This allows more material to be dispensed during the
TIMEBASE period. As a result, the HI 2160RC
PLUS
inter-
prets this as valid LOSS-IN-WEIGHT information. This
should eliminate the
↔
ACT blank from being displayed
when running at lower feed rates. Once the
↔
ACT blank
is eliminated, the HI 2160RC
PLUS
can accurately control at
all feed rates.
•
Kk(INTG), (PROP), (DERV) - The control constants which are
used to control the feeder to maintain the required feed rate. These
values are determined either by performing a Rate Calibration or by
the use of mathematical formulas.
•
CTL, OUT LO (%) - control output Low sets the lower limit of the
analog output to the feeder’s speed control circuits, for minimum
feeder speed.
•
CTL OUT HI (%) - Control output High sets the upper limit or the
analog output to the feeder speed control circuits, for maximum
feeder speed.
•
AVRG (1-200) - Averages represent the number of samples taken to
obtain a stable weight reading. For fastest response, use the small-
est number that results in stable rate readings.
•
REC LEVEL - Rate Exception Control is used to determine the per-
centage of error allowed before the HI 2160RC
PLUS
jumps from
closed loop control to the REC operation mode. Lower values yield
a higher sensitivity.
•
Use a moderate REC value to avoid frequent inadvertent
jumps to the REC mode.
