instrument. The analog output option card can be installed in
the instrument or the quad expander enclosure.
Step 2. Press the Enter button, an “ENTRY ACCPETED” appears
momentarily.
Step 3. Press the down arrow

button until the cursor is to the left of
the next parameter, which is the information type parameter.
The Information
Type Parameter
Setting • The Information Type Parameter setting selects the type of informa-
tion that will be sent. There are four (4) selections:
Rate of Change
Gross Weight
Batch Weight
Total Weight
Step 1. Press the Select button to select the type of information you
want to send.
NOTE: Both voltage and current outputs are simultaneously available for the selected output
data.
Step 2. When the information type appears, press the Enter button to
accept the selection.
Step 3. Press the down arrow
↓
button until the cursor is to the left of
the ZERO output reference voltage. (See Fig. 6-42)

and Current • The ZERO output reference parameter sets the zero output refer-
ence voltage and current.
• Range: 0000 to 9999 lbs/min or LBS.
• Units are automatically defaulted depending on the selected output.
Actual values depend on the decimal place.
• Default Setting: 1.000 lb/min or LBS.
NOTE: Set to the lowest expected value for the selected output.
NOTE: ZERO can be larger than SPAN having the effect of reversing the direction of increase
of the output.
Step 4. Press the Clear button to clear the entry.
Step 5. Use the numeric keys to enter the new value.
Step 6. Press the down arrow
↓
button until the cursor is to the left of
the SPAN output reference voltage. (See Fig. 6-42)

and Current • The SPAN output reference parameter sets the ZERO output refer-
ence voltage and current.
• Range: 0000 to 9999 lbs/min or LBS.
• Units are automatically defaulted depending on the selected output.
Actual values depend on the decimal place.
• Default Setting: 5.000 lb/min or LBS.
NOTE: Set to the highest expected value for the selected output.
